Our team
At Taalschool de Vlieger, we offer special education to children aged 4 to 13 who are new to the Netherlands and have little or no command of the Dutch language. Our school is a safe place where pupils not only learn the language, but can also be themselves, discover their talents and get used to the Dutch education system step by step.
At Taalschool de Vlieger, there is a successful team capable of providing optimal guidance to newcomers in learning the Dutch language and integrating into Dutch society. Attention is paid to the individual needs of the pupils. The team has a shared vision and knows what it wants to achieve, both in the short and long term. We are committed to effective communication, trust, and an open atmosphere in which team members feel safe to exchange ideas and discuss mistakes. We find it important that team members complement each other, bring in different perspectives and take joint responsibility for results.
The team consists of specialised teachers, teaching assistants, and teacher support staff. The quality coordinators, school pedagogue, speech therapist, integrative child therapist and behavioural scientists, support teachers to provide appropriate care for pupils. The bridge officer supports parents and pupils.
